You can sign up to volunteer by filling out the Volunteer Application.
How old do you have to be to volunteer?
For safety purposes, the minimum age for volunteering is 4 years of age. Volunteers under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
I have court appointed hours; how can I volunteer?
Unfortunately, DBM does not offer volunteer opportunities for court appointed hours.
Where can I drop off food and other items?
Food donations come in all sizes. If you have a few grocery bags or a few small boxes full of food that you’d like to drop off, then you can come to the lobby at Daily Bread Ministries. Lobby hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Large scale donations of food and household items are received through our warehouse from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Donations must be brought to the warehouse. Please call before coming by.
How can I donate financially?
We always welcome financial support. Checks can be mailed, and credit card donations can be made through our Giving Page.
What does Daily Bread Ministries need more, food or money?
Donating food provides a variety of nutritious, quality products for which we are grateful; however, at DBM we are able to stretch every dollar we get. For every dollar donated, we are able to provide $10 in food – enough for three meals. Make a Gift!
What are the most needed items?
Food contributed through individuals must be non-perishable. Our most needed items are:
canned meat (tuna, salmon, chicken, sardines, etc.)
pasta, rice, quinoa
For the safety of those we serve, DBM is unable to accept open food packages, homemade food items and expired items.
