In July 2012, we moved to our new 163,000 square foot warehouse on the Eastside of San Antonio. Here we gather donated food from local food sellers, catering businesses, produce markets, and farms. We have the ability to efficiently collect food resources in a timely manner and prepare them for redistribution through our central warehouse with the help of a large volunteer network.
In 2014, DBM collected and redistributed roughly 6 million pounds of food and other basic necessities to its ministry partners. Our partners consist of halfway houses, inner city churches, children’s ministries, and other faith-based nonprofits. We provide these precious resources, free of charge, to our partners to use as a tool in ministering to those in need.
What a joy to work with partners like Ethnos Missions Center! They used food from the Daily Bread Resource Center to prepare snack and lunch bags for children on Spring Break. You see, many families struggling with poverty rely on school meals for weekday lunches. Because of our many supporters, volunteers, and partners like Ethnos, these children had the food they needed to get through the week. #BetterTogether#DailyBreadMinistries#EthnosMissionsCenter
